Hello everyone! Yesterday marked the second anniversary of when I posted about my first project. Honestly, I can hardly believe that it has been two years since I began this journey!
I often feel like I haven’t gotten as much done as I would have liked. As I walk by that wall that has been begging for shiplap or that vanity that has been screaming for a new coat of paint, I start to notice that I pay more attention to all of the things that have been sitting on my to-do list than I do to all that I actually have accomplished.
For that very reason I’ve made a promise to myself to take this time each year to go back and review all of the big things that I’ve worked on and congratulate myself in a way.
So lets get started!
This time last year I was hard at work making Tristan’s big boy room. As difficult as it was, I said goodbye to his sweet little nursery that used to look like this…
I actually plan on doing a full master bedroom makeover next week! I’m participating in the 6 week One Room Challenge hosted by Calling it Home and I am super excited to see how it turns out.
Check!
I got the guest bathroom done and the master bathroom one will be getting done hopefully after I finish the master bedroom makeover.
Sadly I haven’t gotten this done. Ended up not being high enough on the priority list!
I forgot to mention above that after I finished the bathroom makeover I spent a few weeks finally tackling the backyard. It isn’t where I would like it to be, but the major things are done and next year we just need to focus on adding finishing touches.
I would post a before and after pic, but we haven’t watered the grass in awhile so I’m too embarrassed to show you it how sad it looks right now!
And now for this year’s list:
- Master bedroom and bathroom makeover
- Redesign our staircase gallery wall
- Install shiplap on the large wall in the basement as well as the half bath
- Finish up the final touches in the basement which include a faux wood beam, wood shelving in the laundry room, building a coffee table and giving the hubby’s desk an industrial makeover.
I want to say thank you to each and every one of you for joining me on this journey and for all of your kind words along the way. Your encouragement truly keeps me going and I don’t think I would be where I’m at if it weren’t for having this little blog to help motivate me!
I’ll be back next week to talk about the One Room Challenge. I can’t wait! 🙂
