Happy Friday my friends! I meant to have this post up earlier this week but let’s just that say a few things came up with the new house and it just didn’t happen. I’ll get into those not so fun details next week.
Anyways, last weekend we officially handed over the keys on our Cloverleaf house to its new owners. It was even harder than we expected it to be, and even though I know the new owners will be love it just as much as we did it was still hard to say goodbye to a house that held so many memories!
After we wrapped up cleaning on Friday night we propped up the camera and snapped a few photos to help us remember our first home.
Tristan was only 8 months old when we moved in so it’s the only home he remembers.
And Lucas was brought home to this house when he was only a day old and it makes me sad to think about the fact that he probably won’t even remember this home since memories usually aren’t retained until about age 3.
However I know that his brother will fill him in on how much fun they used to have here. Playing hide and seek, using the gutters as rock slides and the countless memories made playing in our cramped but cozy little living room will all be things that I hope he remembers forever.
We poured our hearts and souls into every square inch of this home and the jouney of making it ours was half the fun.
This house came quite long way in the 4 years that we lived there but it’s time to close that chapter and start a new one.
I know that this new house will be just as much of a memorable journey if not more. It’s already proven to be quite that already! Sure, they have mainly been chaotic ones, but I know we will look back at them eventually and laugh just like we do at the mishaps that happened on the Cloverleaf house.
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend and I’ll be back next week to discuss where we are at so far with the new house. See you all then!
Linking up to these awesome parties!
