All About Me

In a nutshell...

I work full time and am a very proud mommy to two handsome little boys! I am married to an extremely patient man that always encourages me 100% in whatever I do.

I like to spend my spare time (which isn't much these days!) creating and designing items for our home. I get so excited when I am able to create something on the cheap or with items I already own.

I hope that by starting this blog I will be encouraged expand my DIY skills and take on bigger risks!

Our Story...

It all began when Anthony and I met in 2011. His charismatic personality swept me off of my feet and I knew right away that he was the one.  SUPER cheesy, I know!

We moved in to our first apartment together after just three short months of dating and at 5 months on my 25th birthday he proposed!

Our wedding was everything that I had ever dreamed of which was pink, pink and more pink!  I am so lucky that Anthony understood my obsession with my favorite color (so long as he and his guys didn't have to sport any pink!)

And then we were blessed with our baby Tristan!

Funny story about our maternity pictures for him.  It had rained for 4 weekends straight so we finally just went with it and took our pictures in the middle of a thunderstorm.  We joked that maybe the weather was foreshadowing his personality and boy were we right!

Tristan is the perfect example of what you would call a "strong willed child."  He is stubborn, short-tempered and has no problem telling anyone what to do!  But he is also a total sweet heart that loves being silly and has more energy than I ever knew was possible.

We became first time home owners in 2014.  We got an amazing deal on a house that needed a little bit of work.

And that's when the real fun began! All the way from those long nights of painting the kitchen cabinets...

(which were painted over again 6 months later when I decided that I wanted white instead...)

to having our whole house (and us) covered in popcorn ceiling remnants.

Then in 2015 we found out that Tristan was being promoted!

And in 2016 we welcomed our Lucas (also known as my "Lukey Pookie!")

He is my go with the flow, happy boy who loves to eat just about anything!

He thinks his older brother is the coolest thing in the world and Tristan thinks he's pretty cool too--most of the time.

Being a mom to these little boys is definitely the hardest and happiest thing I have ever experienced. Each day brings something new and I am so grateful that I get to be their Mommy!

  • I have a degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and have never used it

  1. Found your blog via Less Than Perfect Life of Bliss. I love what I've seen so far!

  2. Came across your blog while searching for the perfect peel and stick wood floors for my faux pallet wall... (I'm using the vinyl peel and stick planks by Style Selections in Driftwood, thanks to you). When I saw your other DIY projects I got SO excited, because my next project to tackle is repainting my kitchen cabinets, and following that... subway tile backsplash. Love your style and inspiration. I am so happy I came across your blog!!!! You will definitely be helping me out a lot with my next few ventures :)

  3. Hi Angela, I found your blog through GingerSnap Crafts and love what you have done with your home! I also have a degree in Biology and Chemistry, but home decor and crafting have become a passion of mine since buying a home and having two little girls :) Keep up the great work on your home and blog!

I appreciate all of your wonderful comments :)
